On July 7, 2007 (07/07/07) the Smashing Pumpkins will release their sixth album ‘Zeitgeist’ (the spirit of the time.)  I suspect there will be all sorts of promotions that play on the rare seventh day of the seventh month of the seventh year. 

Yet have you ever asked yourself, why are we so fascinated with the number 7?
