Every once in a while I think it is important to give you a quick summary reminding you of how I view the world. So here are my general thoughts summarized: U.S. new vehicle market. I think automakers have created demand unnaturally (by discounting and generating unsustainable losses.) At some point (and that some point may very well be happening now,) I have said this artificial demand creation will come to a head. And when it comes to head, I think it will put serious pressure on an overdealered franchise system causing marginal players to exit. And setting the stage for serious market share rationalization/consolidation among more efficient players.
