And speaking of reconditioning.  One of the things I have advocated for many months (if not longer) is the idea of repair shops (particularly national chains like Midas) beginning to certify used vehicles (thus helping independent used dealers remain competitive and driving more recon business to their shops.) 

So I was encouraged when a reader alerted me to an article appearing in AutoRemarketing.com (September 4, 2007) announcing Midas has formed a partnership with a bunch of other vendors to begin offering a used vehicle certification.
