As you probably saw yesterday Jim Press, the highly respected President of Toyota North America was wooed (persuaded) away from the leading U.S. import brand (Toyota) by Chrysler. 

Unlike other major recent major executive announcements (i.e. Alan Mulally going from Boeing to Ford and Robert Nardelli becoming CEO of Chrysler) most of the industry participants on this list probably know Jim Press better than I do. 

So I don't want to spend a lot of time telling many of you what you already know.  For the institutional money managers, however, who may not be as familiar with the Jim Press, I will tell you that he is considered one of the top dudes in the auto industry.
