September sales preview (10/01/07)
Back

Tomorrow afternoon (October 2, 2007) automakers will report September U.S. light vehicle sales.  The rumor mills have been calling for year over year declines.

The one automaker that might actually report a good month (as the opening quote suggested) is Honda, which stands to benefit from the launch of its new Accord.

More than 20% of Asbury's new vehicle retail revenues came from Honda (not counting Acura) in 2006.  Here's what Asbury's CEO (Charles Oglesby) said last week at the Thomas Weisel conference regarding the new Accord:

"The Accord launch and to sell out the remaining 07's was very important for Honda.

As since we do like that manufacturer it's very important to us as well.
