July 10, 2007 marked the one year anniversary of when I began ranking the companies in the auto retail stocks index. As a quick reminder, in its first fiscal year (ending July 9, 2007,) the Auto Retail Stocks index was up 25.9%, better than the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which was up 23.1%, and the S&P 500, which was up 21.0%.
